A great name for a tennis player. Margaret Smith was born in Albury, NSW on 16th July, 1942.

Throughout thr 60s and early 70s her powerful serve and volley enabled her to dominate women's tennis.

In 1970 she won the grand slam - Wimbledon, U.S. Open, French Open and last but not least the Australian Open titles, all in the one year.
