 his tennis great was born in Melbourne on October 29th, 1927. He was 'discovered' by the great Harry Hopman when aged 12 and by the early 1950s Frank was number 1 tennis player in the world going on to win 2 US Opens, the Australian Open and Wimbledon, leading Australia to Davis Cup wins before turning professional in 1953. |
