Matt scored all his side's points when Australia beat arch-rivals New Zealand 24-16 in Melbourne in 1998. Burke played a crucial role in the Wallabies win over the All Blacks to go on to win the Bledisloe Cup. It was Australia's first win over the Kiwis in 4 years.
