Cricketer who batted left-hand is considered one of Australia's greatest batsmen.

Neil was born in Melbourne on 8th October, 1928 and made his Test debut when aged 19.

He went on to play 79 Tests and a batting average of 48.42, scoring 21 centuries and fielding superbly throughout his career. His strengths as a batsman were his footwork and confidence.
