 usinessman and corporate raider born on 27th July, 1937, in South Africa.On moving to Perth he built up the Bell Group and Bell Resources. Despite his efforts he never managed to take over the Big Australian, BHP. Robert's fortune took a battering in the stockmarket crash of 1987. Holmes a Court died unexpectedly in 1990, survived by his wife Janet Holmes a Court.  |
