 elbourne Cup winning jockey associated with horses such as Saintly and Octagonal .
Earlier in his career Darren rode to victory on Inspired in the 1984 Golden Slipper .  Darren retired from race riding late ' 97 and now appears on the Foxtel racing channel on big race days. His early retirement, at the pinnacle of his career as a jockey, came as he decided to go to Bible college full-time. On Easter Sunday 4th April, 1999, Darren hosted the Australian Christian Channel which was launched on Optus Vision. He said "God provided the technology, so why not use it?"  |
