Director of the Sydney Festival, columnist, ad-man, foodie etc.

In 1949, Leo's first job, as a 14 year old, was in the curtain department of Grace Bros.

In February, 1999, he ended ties of twenty years with the Sydney Morning Herald over editorial control.

Leo started back in the 70s with the Sunday Australian which folded into the Sunday Telegraph. Now he is back with the Sunday Telegraph.

His opinions have been challenged with an offended lobster dish costing $100,000 for libel damages in an unfavourable restaurant review.

Leo spent 3 years in Melbourne, running the Melbourne Festival.

Leo is also chairman of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and director of the Olympic cultural festival.
