 n 1952, Mervyn Victor Richardson made the first lightweight petrol driven lawnmower in his home at Brays Road, Concord, Sydney. He used billycart wheels and a peach tin to construct the mower with power enough to slice through the thick grass of a typical Sydney backyard.   |
