ARTS (Painting & Sculpt) Norman Lindsay |  |
 orn in Creswick on February 22nd, 1879, the fourth child of the artistic Lindsay family.Controversial artist who shocked Sydney society in the 1920s with his nude paintings of voluptuous women.
He worked and lived in the Blue Mountains and his house at 14 Norman Lindsay Crescent, Springwood, is now a museum. Lindsay wrote many novels, including the children's classic The Magic Pudding.
The 1994 movie Sirens was about his life. The flick starred Sam Neill, Elle Macpherson and ex-Packer fiance Kate Fischer. Lindsay was married twice and died in 1969.
